Wherever you are, walk for home with your community.  

From city streets to coastal paths, parks to pavements - people across the country are walking together this December to raise money and help make sure every family has a warm, safe place to call home. 

Walk for Home - 'Do your own walk' is your chance to support Shelter in your own way. Get involved by organising your own walk at a time and location that suits you. 

Bring your community together—friends, neighbours, colleagues—and turn your walk into something powerful. We'll even send you one of our iconic bobble hats to keep you warm! 

By organising your own Walk for Home, you can stand with families this winter and defend the right to a safe and secure home for everyone. 

In return for your support, you'll get: 

• a free Walk for Home bobble hat when you raise at least £50  
• digital welcome pack 
• all the resources you’ll need to start fundraising 
• on-demand support from our dedicated Events team 

How to take part 

1. pick a date any time in December. 

2. plan your route - you can walk as far as you like! 

3. invite your walkers - walk with friends, family, colleagues or even just your dog. 

4. get fundraising - We’ve got resources and tips to help make your fundraising easy.

Such a lovely walk and we had a great time. We are so proud of ourselves that we managed to raise £629 for Shelter.
