This December, Walk for Home. Together.
Right now, too many people are facing homelessness – living in unfit temporary accommodation or sleeping rough.
But together, we can change this.
On 8 December, thousands of supporters will take to the streets to raise money for Shelter, walking side-by-side with families facing the housing emergency.
Join us in London, Manchester or Bristol, or organise a walk of your own. Every step you take helps Shelter support people without a safe home, this winter and beyond

How Walk for Home helps to end homelessness
We’re fighting for a future where everyone has a safe home and your fundraising is a huge part of that.
£12 could enable our Legal Team to call a social landlord and put forward a proposal to save a home.£29 could fund a call to our emergency helpline.
£46 could fund two webchats for people facing homelessness so they know their rights.
We asked last year's walkers what they loved about Walk for Home, and they said:

The sense of community, the upbeat and happy atmosphere, the fact it took place just before Christmas when all the lights were on, and the friendliness of all the support staff.

Lovely route along the River Thames. Even though I walked on my own, the atmosphere was great walking along with everyone.
