From Homelessness to Hope | Our Walk for Home
For years, my son Æon and I lived through the uncertainty of temporary accommodation. I know what it means to long for somewhere safe, somewhere stable, somewhere you can finally call home.
After almost seven years, we finally have a permanent home. But our journey didn’t end when we received our keys.
It became a mission.
Through Aeon’s Law, I continue to campaign for stronger housing protections, accountability and a future where no child has to grow up in unsafe or unsuitable housing.
This December, I’m taking part in Shelter’s Walk for Home because I know firsthand that homelessness is more than the absence of a permanent address. It affects childhood, dignity, wellbeing and the ability to build a future.
Every family deserves more than survival. Every child deserves somewhere safe to grow, dream and thrive.
I’m walking for the families still waiting, the children whose voices go unheard and everyone fighting for a place to call home.
Our journey brought us home. My mission is to help others find theirs.
